Vibe Hotel

Hobart

The Vibe Hotel project required demolition of the existing carpark and Hobart City Council car park amenities, and combining the two titles to allow for construction of a 15 story, 142 room modern hotel plus ground floor reception, restaurant and bar. The fifth-floor homes the swimming pool, gymnasium and conference spaces, whilst levels 1-4 contain leasable office spaces. The hotel is one of the highest buildings in the Hobart skyline at 60 meters high therefore providing wonderful panoramic views of the city and harbor.

The project incorporated work for new amenities and construction of the street under the hotel as well as realignment of Kemp street.

Inspiration for the contemporary style of the hotel rooms was taken from the sea and sandstone cliffs on nearby Bruny Island, all bedroom furniture has been lovingly made from locally sourced Tasmanian Oak by local craftsman.
